FAQS
Answers to the questions we hear most
Is the training accredited and compliant with current UK regulations?
Does the course meet the requirements of the Health and Safety (First-Aid) Regulations 1981 and follow current Resuscitation Council UK guidelines?
Our Awarding body courses are in line with HSE and Resuscitation Council’s 2025 updates that are now included in our courses as of the 2026 implementation deadline date.
What qualifications and experience do your instructors have?
Are trainers experienced professionals with relevant teaching and first aid qualifications?
Our lead instructor has 30 years’ experience of delivering First aid courses to adults and young people and, is a practicing FREC 3 qualified event First Aider. Our lead instructor also holds the current Level 4 Certificate in Education and Training; our other instructors are experienced and qualified to Level 3 Certificate in Education and Training.
Can the training be delivered at our workplace and around our business hours?
Do you offer on-site training, evening or weekend sessions, and flexible scheduling to minimise disruption?
Fair City First Aid Limited realises that not all businesses are a nine to five situation and, that committing staff to a course puts pressure on those left behind to operate the business. With that in mind we are as flexible as we need to be (within reason) to meet your needs.
This may mean a blended course where learners can do some work online and then a shortened face to face period. It may mean multiple short sessions to make up the required learning hours. Most courses will fit into your required availability, you just need to ask
What courses do you offer, and which one is right for our business?
Can you advise whether we need Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW), First Aid at Work (FAW), Paediatric First Aid, or another specialist course?
In order to make sure your business receives the correct training product we offer a First Aid Needs Assessment (FANA) which takes into account the current Health and Safety Executive criteria for First aid in the Workplace and provides a First Aid risk assessment of needs.
Based upon the outcome you will be able to know with certainty what your organisation requires in First Aid cover to meet your legislative requirements. If you decide to use Fair City First Aid Limited for your training requirements, the fee for the FANA will be deducted from the cost of the course(s) as a thank you for sating with us.
What is included in the course fee?
Does the price include certification, course materials, practical assessments, refreshments (if applicable), and any post-course support?
What is included in your fee is dependant upon how your organisation’s people learn. You can have physical leaning materials, online materials, a physical certificate or an on-line certificate. All aspects of the course are included in the price, there are no “hidden” extras your course price will include all learning materials in whatever format you require them, as well as certification and all required assessments are also included. If the course in undertaken at your organisation’s own accommodation, then it is expected that the organisation will provide refreshments for its people.
If the course is undertaken out with the organisation’s accommodation, limited refreshments will be supplied. As with all courses you are never alone once the learning period has passed and continuing support will be provided through e-mail. If the queries indicate a further learning opportunity, this will be highlighted to the organisation and may incur a cost.
How do you ensure the training is engaging and relevant to our workplace?
Do you tailor scenarios to our industry, provide hands-on practical exercises, and keep class sizes small enough for individual coaching?
It would be remiss of us if we didn’t get to know you and your organisations business so that we can tailor the training to be specific to your organisation. This can be complete through a formal First Aid Needs Assessment (FANA) or by an informal call or visit to your organisation.
The number of candidates one instructor can teach is limited to 12, this can be exceeded by the addition of further instructors on a course and, of course, available space. All of these aspects will be discussed with you prior to conducting the training.
Why are there no prices published?
Does this mean that you will try to take advantage of us if you feel that we can pay more/less?
We don’t publish fixed prices because we believe every client deserves a quotation tailored to their specific requirements. Whether you’re training one person or an entire workforce, we’ll recommend the most suitable course and provide a transparent, competitive quote based on your needs—not a generic price list.
